Who We Are
Create Spaces is a commercial interiors integrator serving Boise, Reno, and Las Vegas. We furnish, coordinate, and install high-performing workspaces for corporate, government, education, healthcare, and hospitality clients across Idaho and Nevada.
Our roots trace back to 1940, through Machabee Office Environments, one of the two companies that came together to form Create Spaces. In 2023, OEC and Machabee merged and rebranded as Create Spaces, bringing decades of combined experience under one name. Today, Create Spaces operates showrooms in Boise, Reno, and Las Vegas, and holds licenses across Idaho, Nevada, California, and Oregon.
Our Story
Create Spaces traces its roots back to 1940, when Delbert Machabee and Frank Morrill founded Morrill & Machabee, Inc., an office supply and stationery business in downtown Reno. The company shifted with the market over the decades, moving from business machines and office supplies into a dedicated office furniture focus through the 1960s and 70s, and later expanding into Las Vegas as customer needs grew across the state.
By the time Scott Machabee, Delbert’s grandson, led the company as its third-generation owner, Machabee Office Environments had built a reputation across Nevada for relationship-driven service and hands-on space planning. In 2023, Machabee and OEC merged and rebranded together as Create Spaces, carrying that same family business philosophy, built on reliability and follow-through, into a larger company serving Idaho and Nevada.
