Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Audio Visual (AV) and Communications Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio visual and communications systems. Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and test audio visual and communications equipment, including but not limited to projectors, displays, audio systems, video conferencing systems, digital signage, and network infrastructure.

Project Coordinator

Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

 

Job Logistics (pre-install)

  • Collaborate with sales and design on a project-by-project basis to understand project scope. Attend customer meetings when applicable – includes phone, on and off-site, and all email correspondence with clients (new, network, and service projects)
  • Hold pre-install meetings with sales, customers, and lead installers.
  • Coordinate “outside” subcontractors on projects to include movers, and any sub-work Create Spaces utilizes (for example – data and electrical needs and on-site needs such as parking, elevators, etc.).
  • Print all Create Spaces and install drawings and worksheets. Provide to Ops team.
  • Works with sales to track delivery dates when construction is in place.
  • Ensure delivery is coordinated with sales, customer, and Ops team.
  • Work with the field supervisor on a job-by-job basis to ensure the installation team is sufficient.
  • Work with the sales team on all quotes for labor or services of new product orders.
  • Produce estimated labor on all orders.
  • Maintain contact with the customer to ensure the site is ready for installation and aligns with the direct ship date (sales); needs to be clear that sales will pay for it (in conjunction with sales). Coordinate project installs and schedule with Field Supervisor.
  • Ensure estimated hours and times to out on all delivery tickets

Successful Installation / Happy Client (during and post-install)

  • Responsible for keeping the project on track. Anticipates potential issues and troubleshoots and solves issues promptly.
  • Track and file all electronic correspondence with clients on all job issues, including change orders (additional service, double handling, storage).
  • Work with all designers on projects as PM. (St. Luke’s and other projects via designers.)
  • Be on-site contact for installs and attend walk-throughs during installs.
  • Design, track, and update daily “PM Status report.” Distribute to the sales team and designers weekly.
  • Manage actual vs budget report

Punch list

  • Be the on-site liaison with sales for final walk-throughs as needed (first sales, lead, and customer). Communicate with sales when the job is ready for a walk-through with the customer.
  • Manage communications with CS and customers on all punch items, ETA of items that are coming in, and coordinate delivery and installation of punch items.

Manage receiving of new products for furniture and audio-visual.
